My Story

Hi, I'm Mya.

I'm the founder of Between the Moments, a business combining event planning and live music to help people celebrate life's most meaningful occasions with confidence, ease and elegance.

My passion for events began long before Between the Moments. After graduating with a degree in Event Management and gaining over five years of experience within the events industry, I've worked my way up from Events Assistant to Bridal Consultant, Wedding Coordinator and Event Executive, supporting a wide range of events along the way.

From coordinating weddings and supporting clients throughout their planning journey to managing event logistics and delivering memorable experiences behind the scenes, I've developed a genuine appreciation for the impact thoughtful planning can have on a celebration.

Whether it's a proposal, birthday, baby shower, anniversary or wedding, I believe the most memorable events aren't always the biggest or most extravagant. They're the moments that feel personal, meaningful and uniquely yours.

That's exactly why I created Between the Moments.

My goal is simple: to make the planning process feel organised, supportive and stress-free, allowing you to focus on enjoying your celebration rather than worrying about the details.

Alongside event planning, music has always been a huge part of my life. Holding a Distinction* in Music Performance, I also provide live music for celebrations, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere through a mix of R&B, Soul, Acoustic, Jazz and Pop.
